As an entity with aspirations on becoming one of the most influential research and resource centers for urban issues in the nation, the production of quality, scholarly, visionary, research- and solution-based publications is essential. To this end, the URRC places significant emphasis upon this area of its programming. More specifically, the URRC will accomplish this end via the ongoing production of the following:

Listed below are the publications that will be produced by the Urban Research and Resource Center.

Urban Research and Resource Journal: The URRJ will be published as an online journal through the Commons Digital BePress publishers at University of California Berkeley. The Journal will serve as our primary peer-reviewed publications vehicle.

Education Policy Journal – URRC: This journal publishes articles on issues, policies, programs and initiatives related to the topic of Public Education Reform at the local, state and national level.

Criminal Justice Policy Journal – URRC: This journal publishes articles on issues, policies, programs and initiatives related to the topic of Criminal Justice Reform at the local, state and national level.

Community Development and Housing Journal – URRC: This journal publishes articles on issues, policies, programs and initiatives related to the topic of Community Development and Housing.

History of African Americans in Houston – URRC: This journal publishes articles on issues, policies, programs and initiatives related to the rich history of the Houston area’s many historic and contemporary African Americans and African-American communities.
